“The 10 Most Inspirational Women in Louisville” Exhibit

By Pat Gallagher

On Exhibit through August 30th

First unveiled at an evening of “Celebrating the Power of Women” at the Ali Center, visitors can now view this exhibit on Level Three of the Center. The 10 Most Inspirational Women series was created by Resident Artist Pat Gallagher as part of the Center’s new Dreammaker’s Program.

Throughout the year, visitors to the Center were able to watch the artwork being developed and to interact with Pat. He chose to paint women for the exhibit because “women tend to inspire people every day, even when they don’t know they’re doing it.”

The inspirational women featured in Gallagher’s exhibit are: Lonnie Ali, Co-Founder of the Muhammad Ali Center; Cathy Baily, Former Ambassador to the Republic of Latvia; Nikki Jackson, Cabinet Secretary of Personnel for the Commonwealth of Kentucky; Marlene Grissom, Director of Special Projects for Waterfront Park; Lisa Resnik, Director of Campaign and Strategic Initiatives at the Speed Art Museum; Bonnie Hathcock, Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Humana; Jennifer Beilstein, Managing Director of Actor’s Theater; Anita Cauley, Horse Breeder; Lynda Lambert, DJ, 102.3 ‘The Max’; and Barbara Sexton Smith, Executive Vice President of the Fund for the Arts.

The cost for viewing the exhibit is included in the admission price. The Center is open from 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m. on Sundays.
